Planned Parenthood Announced They Will Stop Taking Money From Fetal Tissue
Democrats who have stood behind Planned Parenthood (a number that's been dwindling) have refused to listen to the facts regarding the illegal exchange of money for fetal tissue. What they have over looked is that Cecile Richards has already mentioned that there is in fact an exchange for money. What's been denied is that there's a substantial profit, not that there wasn't an exchange at all.
Now, because of Planned Parenthood's growing unpopularity among BOTH Republicans and Democrats, Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood, has decided to create a new policy. She stated today (Tuesday, October 13, 2015), that Planned Parenthood will no longer accept compensation for fetal tissue. Richards argues that the intent is to, "to take away the basis for attacking Planned Parenthood to advance an anti-abortion political agenda." Really? I'm pretty sure it has more to do with the vote to defund Planned Parenthood in the house come December.
I have to say it's a little too late. Choosing to stop performing an illegal act doesn't erase the fact that the act has already been done. As more whistleblowers/ former employees speak out against Planned Parenthood, the more the story unfolds. Their illegal acts, and now attempt to come clean also doesn't erase the bad taste in the mouths of those who have been closely following the story.
In the end, those who kept their heads in the ground and refused to believe Planned Parenthood sold fetal tissue look pretty dumb right now.

Republican Relationship Goals
No relationship is perfect, but here's a list of goals for you and your hubby/boyfriend. If your partner in crime happens to be a Democrat (say it's not so), then this list may not be ideal for you. In fact, it might even start problems within your relationship once you start bleeding your red, white, and blue.
No. 1
Watch The News Together
It's important for every couple to stay informed. Sometimes your guy would rather play video games all night than watch The Kelly File or The O'Reilly Factor, but doing something together like watching Fox News once in awhile is great. Watching the news (whatever station) allows the two of you to start interesting conversations. You'll both learn where each other stands on policies and grow a deeper bond. Most of the time couples begin to get into a rut where you co-exist with one another, and the one way to prevent that is by finding ways to converse with one another.

Share Funny YouTube Videos
My favorite YouTube channel it Louder with Crowder. Steven Crowder is hilarious and both my guy and I like watching the interviews from Crowder's podcasts. It doesn't have to be political, it can be anything. Another channel we sometimes watch is Prank vs. Prank, where a couple creates videos of them pranking each other back and forth. Being able to laugh together is important since you don't want it to get boring.
No. 3
Join Young Republicans
Joining your local Young Republicans Chapter allows the both of you to connect with other Republicans. It's a great way to network together as well and build lasting connections. One bonus of joining Young Republicans is meeting political candidates in your area as well as hearing from political philosophers. A lot of meetings have a bar, so if the two of you drink, think of it as a fun night out.
No. 4
Volunteer Together
Volunteering is a good act within itself, why not make it a habit to volunteer together. In the past I interned for a campaign solo, and met so many people. I always thought it would be something great for me and my guy to do together. At that time we were long distance because I moved for school, but once the opportunity arose to do it together, I seized it. We volunteered at a booth for the county fair registering voters. It turned out to be fun. We were able to spend time at the fair while doing a good deed. Soon we will be volunteering for the next Republican Presidential Candidate once we decide who we are backing. Although political based volunteering is fun, don't forget that there are so many charities who NEED extra hands, why not help them as well.

Practice Good Manners
Today we live in a society where it's becoming rare for people to practice good manners. It always makes me cringe when I see someone let the door fall closed on an elderly person. It's not that difficult to open the door or wait a few seconds to hand it over to someone. Remind your guy that chivalry is important to you and you both should work together to be better people. Once it's time to start your own family this practice will be useful when raising your children to be productive citizens.
No. 6
Share your Faith
There's absolutely nothing wrong with having different faiths or no faith. However, if the two of you happen to be the same religion, then why not attend your place of worship together. Praying together, going to a church, mosque or synagogue, and discussing your faith could be a useful tool to a strong relationship. Having a constant reminder of what your values are, allows the two of you to uphold those values.
No. 7
Put a Ring on It
I'm not a huge fan of Beyonce's songs, but commitment is important. If you and your guy are serious, then you should put a ring on it (promise or engagement). Obviously if you're already married, you got this goal checked off your list already. Wearing something like a promise ring shows others you're already taken. It's also a good way to commit to each other and let each other know you are serious about tending to the relationship. Once the time comes when you can afford a wedding, then upgrade to an engagement ring (with a proposal of course). If he isn't willing to commit, then he isn't worth your time. The two of you might not have the same values. However, be practical on the time you wait, not everyone has love at first sight and is ready to get married. Will and Kate took at least ten years and look at them now.
No. 8
Respect Each Other
Thankfully Republican men tend to be more respectful than Democratic men, mainly because women are included in conversations. There aren't separate spheres, and women are included in on all topics rather than just women's health. Beyond political discussions, respecting each other in all facets of your relationship is important. Without listening to each other and tending to what each other needs, resentment will build. Remember that being in a relationship means your committed to your best friend, don't let anything affect the friendship.

Paul Ryan May Be Speaker After All
Sometimes the third time is a charm. Paul Ryan was asked twice to be Speaker of the House and a gave a firm "no." However, just recently he said he would consider it. Many within the Republican Party want Paul Ryan to take Boehener's seat. Ryan is well respected within the political community and is someone who all Republicans can stand behind. Even House Democrats. However, this might be a detour from the political path he planned for himself.
Paul Ryan was the former Vice Presidential candidate for Mitt Romney, recently he had be pushed to join the 2016 race himself. This could explain why he initially gave a firm no. However, without anyone to stand behind for Speaker of the House, Ryan seems like the most fitting person.
Republicans across the country have been disappointed by the lack of unification within both the House and Senate and an inability to get stuff done. Although the political process is intended to be slow, many feel that it's going too slow. There has been recent criticism of House and Senate Republicans for holding onto positions without a real intention of creating change. Hopefully with someone like Paul Ryan as Speaker of the House, there might be some real change and unification between the Senate and House. However, it might also require replacing Senator Mitch McDonnell as Senate Majority Leader since he has has been considered a lame duck within the Republican party.
According to Red Alert Politics, Paul Ryan will be Speaker of the House. Conservative radio host Erick Erickson stated:
We will just have to wait and see what will unfold. Below is a video of comments from The Guardian of several House Republicans on their take of the news. Darrell Issa hasn't shied away from stating he has been working to put Paul Ryan in the seat.
Abby Johnson's Response to Bill Nye
Many of us have seen the "scientific" video made with Bill Nye for Big Think. The purpose is to take a scientific approach to the pro-life/pro-choice argument. However, when I watched I noticed there was absolutely no science in his video (probably because he's an actor, not a real scientist). His main "scientific" argument was that White men (he's white) should leave women alone, and women should have control over their own bodies.
However, what he completely missed was that pro-lifers do believe women can do what ever they want to their bodies, but they cannot do what ever they want to a body of another. If Bill Nye wanted to have a persuasive argument, he would have used science to argue that a fetus (or unborn baby) isn't a life. The reason why he couldn't is because science just isn't on his side. It's sad that the best "scientist" Big Think could get was Bill Nye. I know they must have had a difficult time since most of the scientific community is pro-life, but really Bill Nye??? Watch his unintentionally humorous video below.
As you can see it's so flawed and completely missing all of the facts. Bill Nye isn't an expert in women's health and doesn't even know the stages of a fetus' life, rather it's completely ignored. Probably because it would hurt his argument to admit, "actually a fetus can feel when an abortionist is ripping its body apart." See below Abby Johnson's response to Bill Nye's lack of science and fill in the blanks.

LA Police in New BMW's and Tesla's
I'm not sure why no one made a controversy of this, but there should be. The new police cars for the LA police department will be BMW's and Tesla's. No, this isn't a joke. This deal has already started. Soon, Los Angeles police officers will be driving better cars than most of the citizens living there.
In an article written by USA today LA officials are bragging about being the "most sustainable" city in America.
So, they couldn't find a way to go green without buying the most expensive electric cars? Later in the USA article it mentions that BMW has been suffering with sales since no one is buying the cars. Needless to say BMW is very happy to apart of this deal. Below are photos of the new cars.
This just doesn't seem like a practical way to spend tax dollar money. Only recently did the LA police force get new cars. They made a big purchase of Dodge Chargers.
So again why is no one complaining? Unfortunately throughout California, when city or state officials package something as green, they can get away with just about anything. Traditionally, police officers have always driven American cars. BMW is not an American brand, it's a German brand. So, it begs to question, why couldn't they use Chevy Spark EV's and Volt's? They are less expensive. In general the BMW i models are not practical. Can you picture an officer struggling to arrest a person and cramming them in the back seat?

PP's Lack of Compassionate Care
Recently released by Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood Director, is a chart of costs associated with Planned Parenthood. I realize that it's necessary to make some margin of profits, but really? Does this look like the "compassionate care" Planned Parenthood preaches that they have?
One thing I'll always remember in college was that everyone pushed..."you have to be on birth control," "you have to go to Planned Parenthood." I went to a Liberal Arts College in Oregon so it's no surprise my school was a big fan of Planned Parenthood. So, I followed the crowd and did what I was told.
I went with an open mind, and I can tell you, they didn't provide compassionate care. I decided to get tested for STD's. Although I was abstinent at the time, I figured it wouldn't hurt to have that peace of mind going forward into any new relationships. There, I was basically told I had to get birth control. I was stupid if I left without birth control pills. So as I was leaving after I was tested the nurse handed me a brown bag, it was filled with boxes of birth control pills. I look at her and said, "I can't afford all this, and I really don't need it." She then looked at me and said, "Don't worry about it, we give it away like candy." 'Like candy'? that phrase has always stuck with me. She then said "if we don't give you a call, then you're in the clear and don't have any STD's."
I luckily never received a call, but found out from another doctor that patients are always supposed to have record of the results. Something I was never provided with. And it always puzzled me, why would they give birth control away like candy? Looking back I realize now that the reason why the nurse wanted me to take the bag was because they received money from medicare. So, even though I didn't want the pills and couldn't afford it, they received money from the government. Unfortunately for tax payers, the pills ended up in the trash, I didn't use them.
From that visit I had left with at least 4 boxes, which was an $8 cost for Planned Parenthood, and at least $140 from tax payers. I realize that I'm not the only one that was used to make money off of. It's also important to note that for each activity Planned Parenthood did, they also counted me as a separate patient. Below in the video you'll see Abby Johnson explain how they do it. So, for me for example I went in and was tested for the common STD's in my area, that was three tests and then given at least four boxes of birth control. So, after my visit, rather than be just one patient, I was somewhere between 4-7 patients.
So, what's the moral of the story? Find another clinic/doctor who does provide compassionate care. One that doesn't see you as a number, and doesn't see your visit as a way to get as much money out of you as possible. One that will listen to your wants and needs. There are so many clinics out there that provide more services than Planned Parenthood that there isn't really a reason to even use them. If you're wondering if I ever went back, after that visit I never returned.

October 2015
For the month of October we will be reading Dana Loesch's book Hands Off My Gun: defeating the plot to disarm America. I have been wanting to read this book for awhile, and in light of current events regarding the recent shooting in Oregon, I almost decided not to. However, there are so many myths told by Liberals I decided to go ahead and move forward.
Considering how the Obama administration now brings so much publicity to shooters, it's been a growing concern in this country. Like the shooters that have acted in the past, this recent shooter behaved no differently. He realized that the Obama administration would make a spectacle of the event, and he decided to harm others in an effort to become famous. Unfortunately the shooter (who I will never name because he doesn't deserve it) was correct in his thinking. Before parents of the victims even received calls about their children, Obama went to the media, only minutes after, and proclaimed that the U.S. needs stricter gun laws. He even went as far as to lie to the public and say that those states with strict gun laws have lower incidents. First off, this is untrue. It's actually the opposite. Second, Oregon, the state where the incident occurred has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation. It's a very liberal state. Here is a video where Dana Loesch comments on the incident.
As far as Loesch's book goes, it's well researched. She immersed herself in her research and educated her self regarding what the Founding Father's intended as well as the effects of gun laws. In her book Loesch powerfully speaks and truthfully discusses the second amendment right to bear arms.
For more information on Dana Loesch, she has her own website The Dana Show: The Conservative Alternative. You can also hear her on Radio America and on The Blaze. Loesch often talks on Fox News as well, and she has recently been interviewed regarding her book on "The Kelly File" (see here). Loesch also recently released a video with the NRA defending the right to bear arms (watch it below). Unfortunately it's led to death threats from liberals (ironic huh?). So, please join me as I read Hands Off My Gun and learn more about the right to bear arms before it's taken away.
Planned Parenthood Myths Debunked
No. 1
1 in 5 women depend on Planned Parenthood
No. 2
Only 3% of women used Planned Parenthood for Abortion Procedures
Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood Director, explains how Planned Parenthood manipulates the numbers to make it appear so low. In actuality, those who work for Planned Parenthood know it's actually 40% rather than 3%.
No. 3
Planned Parenthood Provides Mammograms
Cecile Richards, and others continue to lie about their ability to provide mammograms to women. As someone who was curious about Planned Parenthood in college and wanted to check it out, I can attest they do not provide mammograms. Above in the video is Richards testifying that Planned Parenthood never has provided mammogram services.
No. 4
Planned Parenthood Doesn't Sell Baby Parts
In her testimony, Abby Johnson, explains that there are exchanges of baby parts, or fetal tissue for compensation. She further explains, her prior facility and others did so to make a profit, which we know is against the law.
No. 5
Defunding Planned Parenthood Would Hurt Women
The House has proposed a bill that would stop the funding of Planned Parenthood for one year while it investigates what has been going on at their facilities. The money that would have gone to Planned Parenthood would instead go to other clinics that provide more comprehensive care than Planned Parenthood. This does not prevent Planned Parenthood from providing abortions since Federal dollars do not fund abortions to begin with. If Planned Parenthood has been using Federal dollars to profit from abortion, then there is criminal wrong-doing.
No. 6
Planned Parenthood Doesn't Do Anything Illegal
It is illegal to profit off of the selling of fetal tissue, or change an abortion procedure in anyway to collect fetal tissue. These are the legal issues that the House would like to examine: (1) Whether Planned Parent profits from the sells of fetal tissue; (2) Whether they change their abortion procedures to better collect fetal tissue. The video above shows an ABC investigation in 2000 of another abortion provider that was found guilty of doing the same exact thing Planned Parenthood has been accused of. In the video, you can see then Planned Parenthood President, Gloria Feldt, mention that this type of exchange is wrong.
1 in 5 women depend on Planned Parenthood
I think they used common core math to solve this problem. 1 in 5 women is so far from the truth, it's actually 1 in 37 women. Considering how Planned Parenthood is not the only clinic care for women, it's hard to believe that women who are financially burdened only use Planned Parenthood for healthcare.
